March Engineering is excited to be recruiting for a Service Desk Administrator to work on a permanent basis at our office in Uddingston. We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious candidate with a passion for IT. This role is ideal if you have recently completed your apprenticeship or have 1-2 years of commercial experience in an IT support role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.
* Manage and prioritize service requests and incidents using a ticketing system.
* Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.
* Collaborate with IT team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Serve as the first point of contact for staff queries.
* Perform remote 'first time fixes' on network and software issues, including password resets, data restoration, printer setups, and software rollouts.
* Contribute to process improvements and procedural developments.
* Ensure SLA targets are met through effective service delivery.
* Maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.
Skills and Experience
* Experience troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and printers.
* Knowledge of Windows OS and Office365/Microsoft packages.
* Server experience is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Customer-focused with a commitment to high-quality service.
Qualifications
* UK driving license (desirable).
