Location: AFBI, Newforge Lane, BT9 5PX. The role may also require working at other sites across Northern Ireland as required.
Responsibilities
 * Develop and implement chemical and industrial pollution policy within the Chemical and Industrial Pollution Policy (CIPP) branch.
 * Manage initiatives related to air and environmental quality (AEQ) and support monitoring of ambient air quality.
 * Coordinate projects on land use and land use change (LULUC), including CAP delivery/monitoring, peatland and afforestation evidence, governance and quantification.
 * Perform environmental noise assessment and statutory nuisance investigations.
 * Collaborate with NEPD and other AFBI departments on policy development and scientific research.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Relevant scientific degree (e.g., Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography).
 * Experience in environmental policy, pollution control, or related field.
 * Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
 * Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and European regulations.
