Working within a team of 5, you will play a vital role in supporting our two main Hospice sites and retail outlets across North Staffordshire to run smoothly and efficiently through effective technological support. The IT Apprentice will be enrolled with a local training provider to complete a qualification. The apprenticeship is anticipated to last for 18 months, with one day a week for study. You will be the first point of contact for our staff in need of IT assistance. You will need utilise your problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support to staff at our Hospices and retail outlets. Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely resolution. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment and systems. Creation and updating of IT Helpdesk processes and procedures. Provide end user training on hardware and software applications. Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery. What we are looking for: Willingness to learn and develop new customer care and IT skills. Develop communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly. An enthusiastic and proactive approach to problem-solving. Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software applications. Ability to work collaboratively in a busy team environment. A passion for providing excellent customer service. The role will require a DBS check which would be processed and paid for by the Hospice.
