We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a category C men's prison located in Oakham.
Hours - Mix of Monday-Friday 07:30-17:30 and Weekends and bank holidays 08:30-17:30
Salary - This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
* Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
* Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
* Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing-based clinical areas
* Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
* Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications Required
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
* Medicines handling experience desirable not essential
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
