Role: Capital Finance Analyst
Location: 50% of the time in the office in Chester

Role overview: The Capital Appropriations Analyst provides critical operational and financial support, with a key focus on managing capital appropriation requests (CARs) and overseeing related asset and payment processes. This role supports global IT hardware procurement—such as data center servers—by ensuring accurate budgeting, efficient financial workflows, and effective issue resolution. The Analyst will collaborate closely with global hardware and fixed-asset teams across the U.S. (New Jersey), China, and India.
Overview:
* Track, raise, and manage capital appropriation requests (CARs) for global IT hardware purchases, ensuring timely approvals and accurate documentation.
* Monitor and report monthly on actual spending versus projections to support effective budget control.
* Pursue outstanding payments and proactively resolve invoicing issues or disputes with vendors.
* Oversee the creation and capitalization of new assets in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of all workflows, financial transactions, and correspondence.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and global hardware/fixed-asset teams to enhance processes and address issues promptly.
Key Requirements:
* Background in finance, accounting, asset management, or a related field; a few years of experience is sufficient.
* Experience with CAR processes is a strong plus.
* Prior involvement in tracking actuals versus forecasts, managing payments, or resolving invoice disputes is beneficial.
* Fixed-asset management experience is preferred; IT hardware experience is not required.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Excel is essential; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP) is ideal but can be taught.
