Referment are working with a leading construction business to support the hire of a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team, delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. There are multiple opportunities covering all regions.
This is a site-based role (5 days per week), offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects from early‑stage procurement through to final account.
The Role
* You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of projects, including:
* Preparing tender and contract documentation
* Cost planning, analysis, and control
* Managing subcontractor procurement and payments
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and variations
* Supporting project delivery teams with forecasting and cost reporting
* Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Producing final accounts and ensuring financial accuracy across projects
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
* Background working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
* Experience on civils or large‑scale construction projects
* Exposure to UK‑based projects is highly desirable
Qualifications (one Or More)
* HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
* Membership (or working towards) with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (e.g. MRICS)
* BTEC / HNC / HND in Building Studies, Engineering or Management
* CSCS Card (desirable, not essential)

* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
