Company Description We are looking for a friendly and helpful Kitchen Porter to assist the team in the day to day running of the college cafe. You will play a crucial role in supporting the running of the business, by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, front of house trolleys, and tables as well as assisting with some basic food preparation. Job Description Salary: £14.10 per hour (£12.60 uplift for zero hours contract) Working 5 days over 7 Working hours between 7am - 6pm Key Responsibilities: Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sinks, countertops, floors, some front of house support with clearing tables, and re stocking Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed. Assist with waste management and recycling. Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients. Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use. Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Ability to work as part of a team. Good communication skills.
