About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a positive classroom environment.
You will work closely with teachers to support pupils both individually and in small groups, helping them to engage with lessons, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support pupils’ learning across the curriculum
2. Work with individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs
3. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
4. Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion
5. Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
About You
6. Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
7. A patient, caring, and proactive approach
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine interest in education and child development
10. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not required
