The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Habitats Deputy (Water) to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Habitats Deputy (Water)? You will be responsible for supporting the Habitats Lead in the delivery of assessment work and collaboration with specialists and environmental and engineering disciplines. You will assist the Habitats Lead plan survey work and technical aspects of assessment for Habitats, and the coordination of ecology surveys, data management, mitigation, and reporting in relation to species specialism. Key responsibilities: Assist with the technical aspects of the delivery of assessment work Drafting of text for assessment reports Liaising with other environmental and engineering disciplines A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you have: A qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant environment or technical discipline Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional institute or equivalent. Experience of leading the delivery of a particular ecological specialism, such as species specialism/licences or EcIA. Effective written and verbal communication, and organization/analytical skills. Excellent H&S awareness. Experience of participation in environmental management and assessment on infrastructure projects. Experience of providing quality reports.
