Job Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Prescription Clerk will work under the supervision of the Pharmacy technician and Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescriptions to patients, and provide administrative support to the Pharmacy technician, Clinical Pharmacist and Clinicians.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Work with the Pharmacy technician, Pharmacist and Clinicians in accordance with agreed practice prescribing standard operating procedures.
* Issue prescriptions in line with agreed clinical protocols and within competency.
* Liaise with secondary and primary care colleagues to chase correspondence/queries.
* High risk drug monitoring/other drug monitoring/CQC drug safety searches.
* Assist the Pharmacy technician and Pharmacist with data analysis of prescribing behaviour in line with NICE guidance and local clinical commissioning directives.
* Process Klinik forms/emails.
* Manage pharmacy technicians and pharmacists ledgers.
* Provide a contact for patients and colleagues with medication queries.
* Project work/prescribing initiatives under the support of the Pharmacy technician and Pharmacist.
* Liaise with Clinicians and staff to resolve prescribing queries.
* Administrative work for team.
* Adhere to strict confidentiality policies at all times.
