Job Description
A top regional law firm with over 20 offices across Yorkshire is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its claimant clinical negligence team.
The role is based at the Leeds City Centre office with flexibility to work from one of the branch locations for the right candidate.
You will manage a predominantly multi‑track clinical negligence caseload of varying complexity, supported by paralegals and secretarial staff. Caseload sizes will depend on the nature of the matters, but typically fewer than 40 at any one time while cases are building. Work will include high value, complex cases and more straightforward claims, with a selective approach to accepting instructions.
Key tasks
• Running a clinical negligence caseload from initial instruction through to archiving in line with office and accounts procedures
• Taking instructions, advising clients, dealing with experts and counsel where needed
• Preparing documents and file management
• Representing clients in court or other forums as required
• Maintaining legal knowledge and keeping up with technical and regulatory developments
• Contributing to business development efforts and building relationships
