A look into the role
Henderson Technology are the proud creators of EDGEPoS, the multi award-winning global EPOS software system. We provide our retailers with the most innovative features and solutions for their EPOS software.
As an Installation Assistant, you will report into the Installation Manager at Henderson Technology, the Installation Assistant will assist all customers of Henderson Technology with their ESEL installation requirements to ensure that they experience a seamless and professional installation.
This role is a non-technical, entry level position within our team. This role will also offer the successful Candidates an excellent opportunity to gain experience working within the Retail Technology sector. The successful candidates will provide support for our Installation team as and when required.
Working as an Installation Assistant you will:
* Work as part of our dynamic Electronic Shelf Edge Label (ESEL) team, supporting the installation of systems at customer sites and collaborating closely with store staff throughout the process.
* Participate in comprehensive training covering all aspects of the installation process, including site surveys, system setup, and end-user training.
* Coordinate and schedule site surveys with customers to ensure smooth and timely installations.
* Liaise with retailers and third-party vendors to prepare sites and ensure all pre-installation requirements are met.
* Deliver hands-on training to store staff on the effective use and maintenance of the ESEL system.
* Assist in the preparation and configuration of our Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems as needed.
Skills for Success
Joining us as an Installation Assistant the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
* A minimum of GCSE’s including English and Maths
* Proven ability to work effectively within a team in a fast based environment
* Ability to work towards tight deadlines
* A current valid UK/EU driving licence
The Attributes you’ll need include:
* Efficient: set and follow priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
* Good communicator with strong written and oral communication skills
* Quick learner, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
* Willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.
It is Desirable if you have:
* Practical experience of store operations and procedures
* Experience with EPoS systems;
* Experience of the EDGEPoS system;
* Experience working with Windows Operating Systems.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
