Azure Architect Harrow | 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH Permanent | Salary c.£70-75k + excellent benefits
Azure Architecht required to support significant transformation for an established business. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect with strong cloud infrastructure architecture experience (Azure or Multi-Cloud expertise), who has experience of taking businesses on the cloud transformation journey.
What youll be doing
Shape and execute infrastructure and cloud architecture roadmaps aligned to transformation and cost-optimisation goals
Assess the current hybrid estate and define target-state architecture across core infrastructure domains
Support cloud strategy across both IaaS and PaaS services, improving cost efficiency and consistency through automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Drive continuous improvement using options analysis to prioritise work based on value, relevance and future-fit
Maintain a capability-level view to identify overlaps, gaps and opportunities for consolidation and simplification
Produce and maintain key architecture artefacts (As-Is views, roadmaps, reference architectures, HLDs) and contribute to governance forums
Ensure solutions align with security, risk management and technical governance standards
Act as a trusted advisor to technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly communicating architecture decisions and trade-offs
Promote repeatability and automation (IaC mindset where appropriate), avoiding lift and shift approach
Support architectural input across key application initiatives connected to HR and Finance systems
What were looking for
Strong experience operating as a Technical / Infrastructure Architect within complex organisations
Strong knowledge of hybrid or cloud environments (Azure or Multi-Cloud)
Broad infrastructure foundations across areas such as identity, networking, compute, storage, resilience, security and monitoring
Able to translate technical assessments into clear recommendations, roadmaps and decision-making
Proven experience designing and guiding Azure solutions across IaaS and PaaS, balancing cost, security, performance and operational supportability
Confident embedding repeatable cloud patterns using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation, avoiding one-off builds and click-ops environments
Proactive, high-energy, and able to work with autonomy (not a micro-management culture)
Strong experience is the use of modern cloud approaches and tools
