Immediate Start Available Organised Immigration Crime – CHIS Handler - Bedfordshire Police & Crime Commissioner Salary: £168.75 Per Day Hours: 37 Hours Working Schedule: Monday - Friday Contract Length: 12 Month Location: Bedfordshire Job Details Job Purpose: Key relationships/Functional links with: The post holder will be required to research, recruit and identify individuals that may be suitable for recruitment as a covert human intelligence source. The role itself is principally focussed on organised immigration crime. They will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with partners around wider organisational requirements. Main Purpose of Job: To research, recruit and manage covert human intelligence sources against the threat of organized immigration crime. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities / KRA: The jobholder will be expected to complete the responsibilities / accountabilities effectively in order to deliver the key objectives of the organization. Undertake high level research to identify those that are suitable for recruitment as a covert human intelligence source. Recruit and manage individuals in support of Organised Immigration Crime operations and intelligence requirements. Ensure compliance with legislation, including but not limited to RIPA 2000, ECHR and CPIA 1996. Produce high quality intelligence reports. Maintain operational security. Job Activities: As per main responsibilities above, including: Undertake on call duty as part of the role. Be required to be flexible with working arrangements and hours, undertaking extended duty times and weekend / late working where needs demand. Provide wider support to the Dedicated Source Unit as and when required. Undertake the general work of a local government solicitor as directed from time to time in particular: Maintain professional accreditation / competence with regards to To maintain competence in areas of staff protection training and first aid. General information: The post holder will be required to comply with organisations policies and procedures. The post holder will require a full substantive driving licence. Achieve and maintain a vetting level. Respond to short notice changes in working hours, should the role require.
