SPORTS/PE COACH WANTED
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract: 3 days a week (preferably Tues - Thurs)
St James CE Primary School is a relationship-led, two form entry primary school in the heart of Northampton. Part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), we have a strong Christian ethos where inclusion and wellbeing is at the heart of what we do.
We are looking for:
An excellent sports teacher with experience of planning and teaching PE to a wide range of ages (age 3 - 11) and who has high expectations of children’s learning and can motivate children to achieve their potential;
An experienced coach, with a minimum of at least one L2 coaching qualification and other qualifications across a range of sports;
An organised and dedicated co-ordinator who can plan and manage the wider sporting experience, teams and participation in inter and intra school sport across the school;
Someone who supports the Christian ethos and inclusive nature of St James and who works to embed these values with children, staff, governors, parents and the wider community;
Someone who is reflective and continually seeks to improve their practice;
A person who has excellent team skills who can inspire colleagues and children alike;
A sports teacher who understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive relationships with parents;
An energetic individual who smiles often, challenges positively and drives change for the benefit of all.
