About the role
:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
2. Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
3. Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management and social interaction within the classroom and around school.
4. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
5. Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour support strategies effectively.
6. Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
7. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
