We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to menu specifications.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met in accordance with regulations.
* Assist in the planning and development of new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
* Manage kitchen staff effectively, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
* Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar culinary environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for meal preparation and presentation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience in managing kitchen operations and leading a team is advantageous.
* A creative mindset with the ability to innovate and develop new recipes.
