About the Learners:
Many of the young people we work with have additional needs, including:
1. SEN (Special Educational Needs)
2. SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
3. Trauma-related challenges
4. Or may be at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX)
About you:
We’re seeking strong Tutors with at least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as:
5. Tutor
6. Teacher
7. Cover Supervisor
8. Teaching Assistant
9. ELSA
10. 1:1 Support Worker
11. Or similar educational roles
As a Tutor, you will:
12. Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learner needs
13. Plan and prepare engaging, differentiated lessons
14. Support learners with additional needs including SEN, SEMH, trauma, or those at risk of PEX
15. Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and progress
16. Monitor and report on student progress and attendance
17. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Experience working with learners with additional needs is essential.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
18. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
19. Hold right to work in the UK
20. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
21. Provide references upon request
22. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
