Quantity SurveyorLocation: Oxfordshire RegionSalary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Package (DOE)An established and highly respected construction contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.Operating across the South of England, our client delivers an exceptional portfolio of bespoke residential, heritage, refurbishment and new-build projects for private clients, estates, architects and professional teams. Projects range from prestigious listed building restorations and country estate refurbishments through to high-end contemporary homes and specialist construction works.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects while further developing their career within a business renowned for quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail.Quantity Surveyor The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.The successful Quantity Surveyor will work closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered profitably whilst maintaining excellent commercial and contractual control.Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completionProcurement and management of subcontractors and suppliersPreparing and issuing subcontract packages and agreementsManaging project costs, budgets and forecastsPreparing valuations and applications for paymentManaging variations, change control and additional worksProducing monthly cost reports and financial forecastsNegotiating subcontractor accounts and final accountsIdentifying and mitigating commercial risksMaintaining strong client, consultant and supply chain relationshipsSupporting project teams with commercial guidance and adviceEnsuring projects achieve commercial targets and profitabilityQuantity Surveyor Requirements Degree or HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction disciplineProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction environmentStrong commercial and contractual awarenessExperience within residential, heritage, refurbishment, fit-out or main contracting sectors would be advantageousWorking knowledge of JCT contractsStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within project teamsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solvingQuantity Surveyor What's on Offer Competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 depending on experienceComprehensive benefits packageExposure to prestigious and technically challenging projectsLong-term career progression opportunitiesStable and growing business with an excellent reputationSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to work on some of the region's finest residential and heritage developmentsQuantity Surveyor Apply Now This role would suit an established Quantity Surveyor seeking greater project ownership and exposure to high-quality, design-led construction projects, or a Senior Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career.If you are a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a business where quality, craftsmanship and long-term relationships are at the heart of every project, we would like to hear from you.
