As a Customer Service Specialist, you will: Act as a key Subject Matter Expert within Customer Operations, supporting both processes and people. Handle high volumes of inbound telephone calls, confidently managing complex queries and escalations. Investigate and resolve written and verbal complaints in line with internal policies and FCA guidelines. Collaborate with Team Leaders to identify service improvements and enhance the overall customer journey. Deliver bite-sized coaching and training sessions to support colleague development. Analyse KPIs and OPIs to drive performance improvements across the team. Champion a customer-first culture and contribute to the continuous evolution of the service model. To be successful in this Customer Service Specialist role, you must demonstrate: Proven longevity in previous employment, showing commitment, reliability, and consistent performance. Solid telephone-based customer service experience, ideally within a contact centre or regulated environment. Experience handling complaints and escalations with professionalism and empathy. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Willingness to complete and maintain compliance training, including FCA, DPA, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Bribery policies.
