Job Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Cheshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST)/CYPWP based in Cheshire West. We have one post available within the Wave 6 Cheshire MHST.
Role Details
The Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner will collaborate with colleagues in the Cheshire West MHST, working closely with education settings and professionals to support children, young people, and their families.
1. Work directly with schools, colleges, and settings to provide information, advice, and guidance through consultation, training, direct work with children, young people, and their families, and delivering evidence-based interventions.
2. Require successful applicants to have professional registration with a recognised National Body (BPS, BABCP) or be able to obtain this within 6 months of the start date. If not registered, a 6-month fixed-term contract will be offered, which will be converted to permanent upon registration confirmation.
3. Work within the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team, providing assessments and interventions on an individual and systemic basis under close clinical supervision.
4. Access regular case management and clinical supervision, both individually and in groups.
5. Deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT-based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.
