Lead Clinician – Lead Clinical Team
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in‑house Clinical Team at New Barn School. The postholder will work collaboratively with the School’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead, clinically leading the team, holding a therapy caseload, and delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles of need, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs.
Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus. The role will involve line management of the onsite clinical team and leading service development of the school‑based service alongside the SLT and the Regional Clinical Lead. Our clinical teams maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach, ensuring a strong safeguarding culture and that pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them.

Responsibilities
* Clinically lead the in‑house clinical team and hold a therapy caseload.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs.
* Meet the needs of EHCP plans through target‑led practice.
* Coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members.
* Lead service development of the school‑based service in partnership with the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach and a strong safeguarding culture.
Qualifications
* Degree or Doctorate in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy or Psychology.
* Valid, up‑to‑date professional registration and membership (e.g., BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing for clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing and developing clinical service.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to an own vehicle.
