Vice President of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the technical visionary and de‑facto CTO for our educational products, taking complete ownership of system architecture while driving measurable business impact through innovative engineering solutions
Basic Requirements
* Passionate expertise in evidence‑based learning methodologies and educational data science
* Minimum 7 years leading critical software architecture decisions, including implementation of complex design patterns and integration of major open‑source technologies
* At least 2 years of hands‑on experience architecting solutions using cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
* 4+ years in senior technical roles with complete ownership of product development and revenue accountability
* Proven track record developing sophisticated generative AI‑powered product capabilities
* Demonstrated success leveraging AI tools to optimize development workflows and operational efficiency
Working with us
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
