As a Carer, you will be expected to cover all hours (24/7) in rotation, including holidays and sickness periods of other care team members. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic females who are committed to promoting and maintaining an independent lifestyle for an individual with complex care needs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while delivering care to an individual in their own/family home.
Key responsibilities include undertaking a range of duties to support the Client, working closely with other members of the team to provide the highest standards of health care. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and complete trustworthiness.
Requirements

* Previous health care experience of working with an individual with complex needs (desirable but not essential, as full training will be given)

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
About the Client
We are recruiting a Female Support Worker to join our friendly Northern Case Management client support team, which provides a non-discriminatory service to people with acquired neurological damage. Our goal is to empower them to develop their full potential and enrich their lifestyle through a comprehensive client-focused service.
Our client is a little girl who suffered a brain injury at birth and requires full assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. She has a permanent tracheostomy, epilepsy, and is Nil-By-Mouth, requiring a gastrostomy for nutrition, medication, and hydration needs.
Work Details
You will be required to work from two locations, accompanying our client to school and out in the community. The care package requires a 2:1 ratio during the day and 1:1 wake carer at night. Shifts include Waking Nights, Day Shifts, and Sleep night Shifts, with a salary of £14.00 - £15.50 an hour.
This is a part-time, permanent position, with 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am) and 36 hours available for 12-month Maternity Leave cover. Bank worker hours are also available on Day, waking Night, and Sleep Shifts.
Please note that we are recruiting Female Support Workers due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support, and this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.
