Job Role As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind your property’s success — leading your team, engaging with residents, and ensuring every aspect of the building runs smoothly. Salary: up to £60,000 per annum Bonus Location: Leeds Job Responsibilities Customer Experience Put residents at the heart of everything you do — ensuring every student feels valued and supported. Deliver outstanding service that turns residents into advocates and ambassadors. Drive rebookings and referrals through authentic relationships and memorable experiences. Building & Operational Management Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the property, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards are always met. Lead on health and safety management, ensuring a secure and positive environment. Implement operational improvements and efficiency initiatives. Manage budgets, recruitment, and supplier relationships to ensure excellence in delivery. Take charge in emergencies with calm, confidence, and professionalism. Team Leadership Inspire, coach, and motivate your team to perform at their best. Foster a supportive, high-energy environment where colleagues are proud of their work. Collaborate with internal teams and university partners to drive performance and community engagement. Commercial Performance Work closely with your Area Manager and wider teams to achieve occupancy and income targets. Maximise revenue through creative sales strategies and smart operational decisions. Track and analyse KPIs, using data to improve performance and outcomes. Keep ahead of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in team management and customer service excellence. Strong commercial acumen — including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
