IT (EUD) TECHNICIAN
* Location: Portsmouth
* Duration: Permanent
* Salary: £33,000 + oncall allowance
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled field-based IT (EUD) Technician to join our team. This role is critical in providing operational support for a range of ICT systems and services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting Windows 10, laptops, smartphones, and desktops while ensuring the smooth resolution of incidents, requests, and problems. Additionally, they will be instrumental in identifying and implementing service improvements and delivering exceptional customer service.
This role requires flexibility, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to travel between locations. The candidate will be expected to work flexible hours and undertake assignments in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Support: Provide first and second-line support for Windows 10 systems, smartphones, laptops, and desktops across multiple sites.
* Incident & Request Management: Effectively handle and resolve incidents, requests, and problems within the required service levels.
* Service Improvement: Identify, propose, and implement service improvements to enhance the overall support experience and operational efficiency.
* Documentation & Knowledge Base: Create and maintain clear and concise procedure documentation and a knowledge base for troubleshooting and common technical issues.
* Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained, with a focus on providing a positive user experience.
* Travel & Flexibility: Travel to various locations as needed, work flexible hours (including unsocial hours), and be prepared to work in remote locations. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
* Communication & Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with colleagues and end-users, ensuring clear, timely, and accurate updates on incidents, requests, and changes.
* Technical Support: Proven experience providing technical support for Windows 10, smartphones, laptops, and desktops in an operational environment.
* Incident & Problem Resolution: Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve incidents and requests, providing timely solutions to technical issues.
* Service Improvement: Experience in identifying areas for improvement within ICT services and implementing enhancements to optimize service delivery.
* Documentation: Experience in creating procedure and knowledge base documentation to ensure effective issue resolution and service consistency.
* Customer-Focused: Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service with a customer-first mindset.
* Driving & Travel: Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across various locations as required.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
