We are looking for part‑time Pharmacy Stock Assistants to support our top‑up service.
Are you motivated and well organised? The Pharmacy department undertakes a top‑up service to wards and departments and needs your help to stay efficient and flexible.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the pharmacy "top‑up" service at Hull Royal Infirmary, expanding to Castle Hill Hospital once trained.
* Visit clinical areas, identify and document the quantity of stock that requires ordering, check expiry dates, and ensure proper stock rotation.
* Ensure wards and departments receive stock in a timely manner and promptly notify any shortages.
* Support and/or participate in the processing of top‑up requests and ad‑hoc orders through the Pharmacy Computer System according to standard operating procedures.
* Assist in recycling, picking, packing and dispatch of goods to wards and departments.
* May be required to assist in distribution when trained, and help distribute drugs around Trust sites using trust transport when trained.
Qualifications
Level 2 qualification in stock management, plus motivation and strong organisational skills.
Working hours & schedule
The role is part‑time: 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with hours tailored to individual needs between 7:30 am and 2:00 pm.
Successful applicants will also participate in the department's Bank Holiday working arrangements.
