Here is an exciting opportunity to come and work in Edinburghs THRIVE Locality Team – Penumbra’s Self Harm Support Service. We provide support to people who self-harm and experience suicide ideation aged 16+ within the City of Edinburgh as part of Thrive Edinburgh Collective.
We ensure people have a safe, non-judgemental space where they can explore their feelings and concerns in confidence using a persona centre approach with each individual. The service offers both one to one and group support, support to family, friends and carers.
We provide awareness raising and training in a variety of settings including schools, to third sector organisations and to our community mental health teams in the NHS.
The service is generally open 9-5pm Monday to Friday, however to meet the needs of the service, there can be the odd evening or weekend work when we run groups or attend events.
