Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development professional to play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth. This is a senior position with responsibility for shaping market strategy, building high-value client relationships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand market share and diversify revenue streams.
* Identify and secure new client partnerships within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence, and other advanced engineering sectors.
* Lead commercial negotiations, bids, and proposals for major contracts.
* Build and maintain C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships with OEMs, Tier 1s, and strategic partners.
* Work closely with technical and operational teams to align client requirements with capabilities and deliverables.
* Provide market insight, competitor intelligence, and input into product/service roadmaps.
* Represent the business at key industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Candidate Profile
* Proven track record of delivering multi-million pound sales growth in engineering, manufacturing, or technology-driven industries.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in complex B2B sales cycles and long-term partnership development.
* Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at board level.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
* Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on to deliver results.
* Degree educated, ideally in engineering, business, or a related field.
