Controls Engineer

Day role, Monday to Friday. Flexi.

This is an extremely rare opportunity to work for a global group's flagship manufacturing site. The business is looking for a self‑driven engineer with specialist experience in industrial process control and instrumentation to support the ongoing development of a very successful R&D and manufacturing function. Not only does this position present long‑term job security, but ongoing technical development and career progression.
Role Description
* Create and enhance process control systems from concept through to implementation.
* Work across SCADA development, PLC programming, and advanced control techniques from PID loops to AI and machine learning.
* Develop and implement inspection systems and instruments to maintain top‑tier product and process quality.
* Partner with R&D and production teams to identify and deliver process improvements safely and effectively.
* Provide both on‑site and remote technical support, while upgrading and maintaining existing systems.
* Be open to occasional overseas travel as part of your role.
* Keep up to date with the latest technologies and innovations in process control.
Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant engineering subject.
* Excellent experience with industrial process control and instrumentation.
* Proven expertise with electrical and electronic design.
* Project Management experience, including budgets, deadlines and stakeholder management.
