Job Description
We are seeking to identify a Senior Consultant, with a Town Planning background to join a very successful team, to provide clients consents and town planning advice for major infrastructure projects.\n\nWe would also expect candidates to have a strong Town Planning background and knowledge of wider consents permits and licenses required to implement new developments. We specifically seek somebody with experience within Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and a thorough understanding of the legislative requirements required under the DCO planning process.\n\nYou are to be responsible for evaluating consents and engagement requirements to ensure that the business deploys a cost effective and sustainable solution to our client.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\n\n * Promotion and delivery of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects through Development Consent Order (DCO) legislation\n\n * Delivery of technical engagement programmes for stakeholders including local authorities, statutory and non-statutory bodies and the general public\n\n * Stakeholder facilitation, negotiation and mediation\n\n * Planning and consenting legislation\n\n * Statutory planning policy advice and appraisal\n\n * Strategic management of consents deliverables\n\n * Consents application preparation\n\n * Collaborative and cross disciplinary working\n\n * knowledge of wider consenting regimes e.g. Environmental permits\n\n * Project management and co-ordination of large, multi-disciplinary teams\n\nSkills & Experience:\n\n * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships at all levels.\n\n * Good negotiation / collaboration skills to ensure full support within the framework.\n\n * Embraces and leads change with an ability to influence and implement best practice internally and at project level.\n\n * High levels of resilience and adaptability\n\n * Proven ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.\n\n * Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering stakeholder engagement and managing communications that are underpinned by a customer focus.\n\n * Strong commercial acumen.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nPerson profile:\n\n * Relevant degree\n\n * Member of Professional Body (MRTPI)\n\nADDITIONAL\n\n5+ years knowledge of delivering projects through the Town & Country Planning Act legislation\n\n * Prior experience of delivering a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project through the Planning Act 2008 legislation or similar including large EIA projects\n\n * Up to date with latest developments in Professional Competence\n\nMoss Agate Limited and its’ Clients operates as equal opportunities employers and we welcome all applications regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, race, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, disability, age, political opinions or trade union membership.\n\n#townplanner #townplanning #consents #DCO #permitting
