Service Maintenance Engineer - UK & Ireland
Location: Milton Keynes (with extensive travel across UK & Ireland, occasional travel to mainland Europe) Full-time | Field-based | Permanent
Are you a hands-on electrical engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for keeping critical systems running smoothly? We're looking for a Service Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team, delivering high-quality technical support and maintenance across the UK and Ireland.
What You'll Be Doing
* Perform on-site planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of battery monitoring systems.
* Lead installations and commissioning of battery monitoring equipment, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
* Manage maintenance schedules and identify opportunities for system upgrades and process improvements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Train customers on equipment usage and safety protocols.
* Maintain detailed records of service activities, inventory, and equipment logs.
* Support project-based work, offering technical insight and problem-solving expertise.
What You'll Bring
* 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within critical facilities, data centres, or UPS/battery environments.
* Strong knowledge of DC power systems and standby battery infrastructure.
* Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
* Familiarity with health & safety regulations and environmental compliance.
* Electrical engineering background with relevant certifications (ECS/CSCS card, BPSS/SC/DV clearance preferred).
* Full UK driving licence and ability to pass a CRB check.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel & Location
* Based out of Milton Keynes office.
* Up to 95% travel across UK and Ireland with frequent overnight stays.
* Occasional travel to mainland Europe.
