Housing Support Manager Location: Birmingham Hours: Full Time, 9 AM to 5 PM - Monday to Friday About Inspire Housing and Support: Inspire Housing is dedicated to providing supported accommodation for vulnerable adults facing homelessness. Role Overview: We are seeking a Housing Support Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our housing services while also providing direct support to our residents. This dual role involves managing a team of support staff and ensuring that all residents receive the support and assistance they need to thrive. You'll be based in our office from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, while also engaging face-to-face with residents within their homes to deliver personalised support. Key Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of supported housing services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies. Provide direct support to residents, assisting them with their individual needs and helping them adhere to their License Agreements. Supervise and mentor support staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of resident interactions, support plans, and progress updates. Facilitate the onboarding of new residents, including conducting assessments and coordinating move-ins. Handle resident issues and conflicts, promoting a harmonious and supportive living environment. Oversee property maintenance and ensure that all accommodations are safe, well-maintained, and equipped. Conduct regular audits of resident files and support documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with external agencies and community resources to enhance support for residents. Contribute to strategic planning and development to improve services and support offered to residents. Requirements: A full UK Drivers License and access to a vehicle. Enhanced DBS check in date. Proven experience working with vulnerable adults in supported accommodation. Strong organisational and self-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care is preferred. Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Qualities: Professional and well-presented. Positive and proactive attitude. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions. Exceptional attention to detail and administrative capabilities.
