PVG / Disclosure Scotland
All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks are subject to the following criteria:
If the role is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, or in some cases, in installments post-employment, with approval from HR & OD. If the employee leaves before full payment, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
This applies to both new applicants and existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
