Pay: £150-£220 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Start date: September 2025 (or sooner, if available)
Contract: Full-time, long-term or temp-to-perm
Key stages: KS3 - KS4 (KS5 available depending on the school)
We're working with a secondary school in the St Austell area that's looking for a passionate, confident English Teacher to join their team from September. The school has a supportive culture, strong leadership, and a clear focus on pupil progress and wellbeing - making it a fantastic place to teach and grow professionally.
Whether you're an experienced classroom teacher or an ECT looking to get stuck into your first post, this could be a brilliant opportunity to inspire young people and help them engage with language and literature in a meaningful way.
What the school is looking for:
A qualified English Teacher (QTS or QTLS)
Someone with strong subject knowledge and a creative, adaptable teaching style
A teacher who can inspire confidence and engagement in both high achievers and reluctant readers
Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus but not essential)
A calm, consistent presence in the classroom with strong behaviour management skills
You'll need:
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Two recent references
The right to work in the UK
A genuine passion for English and for helping young people find their voice through reading and writing
