This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Sixth Form students, supporting study skills, attendance, UCAS applications, and post-18 pathways within a structured and ambitious school environment.
Key Details | Sixth Form Academic Mentor
* Sixth Form Academic Mentor (Full-Time, Contract)
* Immediate start
* 36 hours per week, term-time
* Initial contract from April to August
The Role | Sixth Form Academic Mentor
As a Sixth Form Academic Mentor, you will:
* Support students in developing effective study habits, independent learning, and time management
* Mentor students and supervise structured private study sessions
* Provide guidance on UCAS applications, personal statements, and post-18 pathways
* Liaise with parents, staff, and external providers to support academic progress and wellbeing
* Contribute to enrichment opportunities, including EPQ support and work experience coordination
* Support students at risk of disengagement, ensuring they remain focused and on track
Qualifications | Sixth Form Academic Mentor
* Graduate with a Bachelors degree in any subject from a Top UK university
* Prior experience working with Sixth Form students, careers guidance, or KS5 student support
* Confident in delivering both academic mentoring and pastoral support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
