About AXA

AXA is a global leader in insurance and financial services, dedicated to helping customers protect what matters most to them. As the sixth‑largest insurance company in the world, we provide a wide range of services, including health, car, home, and business insurance. We support millions of customers worldwide, helping them navigate life's uncertainties with confidence.

AXA UK Support Functions look after our three customer‑facing business units, providing the infrastructure and expertise to make sure we can be there for our customers.

Job overview

We have an opportunity for a Culture Lead to guide the strategic design and implementation of cultural interventions across AXA UK, with a specific focus on driving and activating AXA’s cultural shifts. As the Culture Lead you’ll apply behavioural science and occupational psychology principles to eradicate organisational complexity, execute ‘Skills Boosts’ that embed new leadership behaviours, ensure a simplified and enhanced employee experience, and bring about measurable cultural change.

Key responsibilities

* Develop and lead the execution of the identified cultural shifts across the business, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and long‑term transformation strategy.
* Use frameworks to assess organisational readiness and change impacts, identify cultural risks and opportunities, provide actionable insights, adjust approaches, and minimise disruption.
* Identify and address drivers of organisational complexity; design interventions to streamline ways of working and remove behavioural barriers to efficiency.
* Develop and implement ‘Skills Boosts’ to provide targeted, practical development that embed new leadership behaviours into daily operations.
* Coordinate and support culture change interventions by working with owners to refine plans, track progress, and ensure alignment with employee needs.
* Develop and execute communication plans to support culture change and behavioural initiatives, aligning with broader communication strategies and resources.
* Define and track KPIs related to culture change, using both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate the impact of interventions and overall cultural health.
* Design initiatives to promote transparency, voice, empowerment, and psychological safety.

Work arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience

* Proven experience in managing large‑scale cultural transformation within complex, regulated environments, with multiple stakeholders.
* Ideally a qualified occupational psychologist or behavioural scientist, or extensive experience applying organisational psychology or behavioural science principles to organisational challenges.
* Knowledge of change management methodologies and the ability to assess change impacts and develop appropriate interventions.
* Skilled in managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, fostering engagement, and managing change communities.
* Ability to interpret complex cultural data and psychological insights, translating them into clear, actionable business recommendations.
* Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple interventions simultaneously, ensure timely delivery, track progress and dependencies, and adapt plans as needed.
* Effective at facilitating discussions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, with strong listening skills and emotional intelligence to understand manager and employee concerns.
* Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments and managing resistance constructively.
