Senior Civil & Structural Engineer Location: Swansea Salary: £35,000 – £42,500 A leading consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality urban infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking for a highly capable and motivated engineer to support and lead on a range of public sector infrastructure schemes. The Role: As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for technical leadership and project delivery across a wide range of infrastructure and building developments. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and ensuring quality standards are met across all deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver complex infrastructure and building projects from concept to completion Lead multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance and mentoring Liaise confidently with clients, stakeholders, and design team members Ensure project compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems Support the Technical Director with internal process improvements and documentation updates Manage and review technical outputs including calculations, specifications, and reports Work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants to deliver on-time and within budget Willingness to travel within the UK for short-term project requirements Promote flexible, efficient working and contribute to a positive team culture About You: Qualifications & Experience Required: Chartered or near-chartered Civil or Structural Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) Minimum 5 years' experience in consultancy, preferably within public sector infrastructure projects Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, DMRB, Manual for Streets Solid technical knowledge of materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry Proven experience with drainage and highway design including SUDs, SAB applications, and Section 104/278 processes Proficiency with relevant software such as STAADPro, Bentley SewerGems, AutoCAD, and MS Office Full UK Driving Licence Desirable: Knowledge of street lighting, drainage systems, traffic signals Familiarity with MS SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat What’s on Offer: Our client offers a highly competitive package and a supportive work environment that encourages career development and work-life balance.
