Robert Half has partnered with a leading energy business to recruit for an Accounts Assistant on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy finance team in a high-volume environment, supporting core transactional finance processes. The role offers hybrid working with three days in the office and two days from home, based in Leeds.
Key responsibilities
1. Process purchase orders and support the purchase ledger function
* Carry out three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices and goods received notes
* Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
* Chase outstanding debtor balances and follow up on overdue invoices
* Manage a high volume of transactions, processing approximately 100-150 invoices per day
* Support the wider finance team with general accounts administration and queries
Requirements
2. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
* Experience with purchase ledger processes and three-way matching
* Comfortable working in a high-volume transactional finance environment
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication skills when liaising with internal teams and customers
Salary: £30,000 - £31,000
Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home)
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
