Enfield Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality public services for our residents.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior managers and service leads, providing expert financial advice, insight, and challenge to support effective decision-making, financial sustainability, and value for money across the Council.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a trusted financial adviser to designated services, supporting budget holders and senior stakeholders.
2. Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring for assigned service areas.
3. Provide clear, timely, and insightful financial analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions.
4. Support the development of business cases, savings proposals, and service transformation initiatives.
5. Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Council policies.
6. Contribute to the Council’s medium-term financial strategy and wider corporate finance objectives.
About You
7. A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent), or working towards qualification, with relevant public sector or complex organisational experience.
8. Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, and business partnering.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively at senior levels.
10. Analytical, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a strong commitment to public service and value for money.
11. Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
