Sales Ledger Administrator
Location: Longtown
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pay rate: up to £30,000 p/a
Contract: Permanent
We’re working with a well-established, family-run business based in Longtown who are looking to add a Sales Ledger Administrator to their finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships, and keeping things organised in a busy environment.
The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, providing a consistent and structured working pattern.
Key responsibilities
* Raising and issuing sales invoices accurately and on time
* Allocating incoming payments to customer accounts
* Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
* Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email in a professional manner
* Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
* Producing aged debtor reports and supporting cash flow management
* Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate billing
* Supporting month-end processes and reporting
About you
* Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with customers
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
* A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
