Job Title: Mentor – Pupil Support & EngagementPay Rate: £126.05 - £147.03Location: SandwellHours: 37hrs per week, Term Time plus 3 weeks
Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Mentor to work at a PRU School in Sandwell, supporting underachieving pupils to overcome barriers to learning and realise their full potential. Job Requirements for this Mentor role in Birmingham:
* Experience working with young people in an educational or youth support setting
* Ability to provide one-to-one and group mentoring sessions
* Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
* A proactive and empathetic approach to support and behaviour management
* Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours sessions
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
As a Mentor, you will support students’ academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal development by creating a safe, supportive, and motivational learning environment. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to implement effective support plans and promote high aspirations.
