Job Description
* To provide high‑quality, child‑centred care, lead shifts, and support the team in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
* Play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day care and support of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
* To support and mentor support staff, including contributing to their induction and ongoing development.
* Ensure the safeguarding and protection of all children in the home.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily logs, incidents, and care plans.
* Adhere to Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
* Work collaboratively with external professionals, including social workers, education providers, and health services.
* Help manage the running of the home, including budgeting, shopping, and organising activities.
* Participate in on‑call duties were required.
Essential Criteria
* Must have Level 3 in Residential Childcare
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a children's residential home
* Experience writing reports, care plans, and liaising with external agencies
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and sleep‑ins
* Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and therapeutic approaches
* Full UK driving licence
* Permanent right to work in the UK
