Site HSE Advisor
Onshore Energy Projects

We are supporting a major energy sector contractor delivering complex onshore projects within the UK energy transition space. Due to ongoing project requirements, we are looking to appoint an experienced Site HSE Advisor to support site-based activities at Point of Ayr.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Field HSE Manager, the Site HSE Advisor will play a key role in ensuring the effective development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site Safety Management System across engineering, construction, and execution phases of large-scale onshore energy projects.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong site presence, proactive engagement with the workforce, and close collaboration with subcontractors and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive HSE awareness through workforce engagement, coaching, and site-based training
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and monitoring of subcontractor activities
* Ensure compliance of plant, equipment, and site operations with HSE standards
* Manage risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safe systems of work
* Oversee Permit to Work (PTW) systems and hazardous materials controls
* Track and report HSE performance metrics and KPIs
* Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
* Promote environmental compliance and sustainability best practice on site
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
* Qualification in HSE or an engineering-related discipline
Experience
* Several years’ experience within the Oil & Gas or wider energy sector
* Strong background in onshore projects, including construction and site execution
* Experience with regulatory compliance, surveys, inspections, and investigations
Certifications
* ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
