We are seeking a passionate Scientist to join our Cell Therapy Biotechnology team. Your expertise in tumour immunology, immune cell biology, or cellular therapies will drive advances in oncology by developing and analysing advanced in vitro cellular systems. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position, focusing on optimizing CAR‑T cell function through genome editing (e.g. CRISPR) and employing advanced cell models and immune assays. You will have a central role in refining our mid‑throughput validation platform, using cutting‑edge cell engineering, automation, and physiologically relevant models to assess immunotherapy efficacy. The role offers extensive collaboration across our global organization and with leading external partners. You will support scientific excellence by presenting your work to internal stakeholders, conferences, and peer‑reviewed journals. Qualifications
 * Bsc in Immunology, Immuno‑oncology, or equivalent relevant experience.
 * Practical understanding of cell therapy discovery and development, with knowledge of immunity and cancer biology—especially in solid tumours.
 * Hands‑on experience with primary immune cells, cell enrichment, coculture assays, and viral delivery methods.
 * Experience of complex immunoassays (e.g. multiparametric flow cytometry and imaging technologies).
 * Experience in gene editing/silencing methods.
 * Excellent communication and teamwork, with experience collaborating across disciplines and engaging both internal and external partners.
 * Strong problem‑solving skills, with adaptability in fast‑paced environments.
 * Track record of collaboration with academic and industry partners.
Desired Criteria
 * Demonstrated record of scientific excellence through publications.
 * Experience with 3D models (e.g. organoids), high‑content imaging, and automation.
 * Skilled in cellular, DNA, and protein‑based assays, NGS, and metabolic analyses.
 * Understanding of target discovery, drug screening, and in vitro/in vivo validation.
