Responsibilities: THE ROLE
North aims to make customer environments smarter and more efficient through technology. We seek a commercially minded, driven product manager passionate about technology and customer engagement, capable of leading solution development in a fast-paced environment. You will work within our expanding product team, focusing on IoT solutions, becoming a primary Subject Matter Expert, and supporting sales to identify opportunities.
You will stay updated on IoT and Smart Places trends, technologies, competitors, and solutions, contributing to the portfolio vision and strategy. You will own the commercial success of product solutions within the IoT Smart Places portfolio, reporting to the Head of IoT Smart Solutions and collaborating with sales, engineering, software, and support teams. This role suits organized individuals confident in customer consulting and problem ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Contribute to sector-specific propositions and bid responses through pre-sales input.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of IoT, including LoRaWAN, sensors, applications, analytics, and decision-making solutions, and their fit within North's target sectors.
* Support the development of the Smart Places IoT strategy for North, focusing on repeatable and profitable propositions.
* Contribute to the IoT product roadmap, including vendor and technology recommendations.
* Collaborate with marketing and sector teams to develop compelling IoT solutions and propositions.
* Create sales training, presentations, battlecards, bid documents, demos, and workshops to support IoT propositions.
* Work with commercial and finance teams to optimize pricing and bid models.
* Maintain technical and commercial partner relationships to support products and propositions.
* Deliver end-to-end technical solutions with clear business outcomes, preferably with a strong market and technical understanding of sensors, IoT connectivity, and analytics.
* Manage product lifecycle from development to launch and beyond, working autonomously and within teams.
* Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with excellent communication skills.
* Be solutions-focused, analytical, and detail-oriented.
