The Role We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Business Lecturer to join a Further Education department delivering to 16–19 learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality teaching, assessment, and learner support across Business programmes, supporting positive achievement, progression, and employability outcomes. This role would suit an experienced FE practitioner or a subject specialist looking to move into teaching, with appropriate support to gain a teaching qualification if required. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging Business lessons aligned to awarding body specifications Teach across Levels 1–3 (depending on experience) Plan lessons, schemes of work, and assessments Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback Track learner progress, attendance, and achievement Provide academic support, tutorials, and pastoral guidance Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standardsSubjects May Include Introduction to Business Marketing Finance and Accounting Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Human Resources Business Operations Economics (desirable)Essential Requirements Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Management, Economics, or a related subject Experience teaching or training young people or adults Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to engage and motivate 16–19 learners Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Desirable Experience teaching BTEC, OCR, NCFE, A Level, or T Level Business Industry experience within a business or commercial environment Experience using digital or blended learning platforms Awareness of current business and economic developmentsWhat’s on Offer Supportive FE environment with clear CPD and progression pathways Opportunities for teacher training and professional development Competitive salary and benefits The opportunity to positively impact learner progression and employabilityeXede Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency and the successful applicant will be employed directly by our client.
