Job Description
The Contingent Workforce Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s contingent labor strategy. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across all contingent workforce engagements. The Lead will collaborate with internal stakeholders, staffing agencies, and vendor partners to optimize workforce agility and support strategic business goals.
Program Leadership & Strategy
1. Develop and execute a scalable contingent workforce strategy aligned with organizational goals.
2. Lead daily operations of the contingent workforce program, including onboarding and offboarding (in conjunction with HR), and performance tracking of our suppliers.
3. Drive innovation in workforce solutions across business units and geographies.
Vendor & Supplier Management
4. Manage relationships with staffing agencies, and other external partners.
5. Negotiate contracts and commercials, ensuring alignment with compliance and cost-efficiency standards.
6. Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
7. Ensure compliance with internal policies, and with the support of HR, adherence to labor laws and regulatory requirements.
8. Maintain accurate documentation including contracts, pay rates, bill rates, and employment terms.
9. Partner with Legal and HR to mitigate risks associated with contingent labor.
Data & Reporting
10. Collect and analyze workforce data including contractor details, employment types, and financial metrics
11. Generate insights and dashboards for senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
12. Track KPIs such as first-time fix rates, cost per hire, and program adoption
Stakeholder Engagement
13. Act as a liaison between hiring managers, procurement, HR, and finance teams.
14. Educate internal teams on contingent workforce processes and best practices.
15. Support geographic expansion and workforce planning initiatives.
Qualifications
16. Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Supply Chain, or related field.
17. 5+ years of experience in contingent workforce management, procurement, or talent acquisition.
18. Proven experience managing vendor relationships and workforce programs in a global environment.
Skills & Competencies
19. Strong understanding of workforce compliance, labor laws, and procurement processes.
20. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
21. Proficiency in vendor management systems (VMS) and data analytics tools.
22. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a dynamic environment.
23. Experience with ERP systems ( IFS, SAP).
24. Certification in workforce management or procurement ( CWPP, CPSM).
25. Familiarity with AI-enabled workforce tools and automation platforms.
