Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the therapy and nursing team at Beckett Place. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with experience in working within the inpatient mental health sector.
Responsibilities
* Work with the inpatient therapy team providing and delivering a programme of creative, social, and therapeutic activities under the guidance and supervision of the occupational therapy team.
* Establish, coordinate, and run individual and group recovery and therapeutic activities.
* Work with individuals and groups to help maximise recovery and independence, including helping them manage symptoms and develop diversional and coping skills.
* Collaborate within a supportive multidisciplinary team, and work closely with nursing teams and occupational therapy teams.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of working in mental health care is required, as well as experience of providing basic nursing care and engagement in therapeutic activities.
* Hours are predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekend work.
* Friendly, motivated, able to use initiative, and capable of engaging others creatively.
