SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a supportive and inclusive school in Kettering to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
2. Support pupils to access the curriculum and engage positively in learning
3. Assist the class teacher with differentiation and classroom support strategies
4. Support emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour
5. Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
6. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Has experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
8. Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
9. Able to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
10. Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
11. Relevant SEN or TA qualifications are desirable but not essential
